On behalf of the entire team at Z. Boskovic Air Charters Limited, I would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to Africair and Alpha2Bravo for the seamless delivery of our two new Model 208B EX aircraft, equipped with executive seating arrangement.
The arrival of these aircraft marks a significant milestone for us, and we are truly appreciative of the dedication and professionalism demonstrated throughout the entire process. From the initial coordination to the final delivery, your team’s attention to detail and commitment to excellence were evident every step of the way.
We understand the complexities involved in orchestrating such deliveries, especially considering the logistical challenges that may arise. However, thanks to your expertise and unwavering support, everything proceeded without a hitch.
Please extend our gratitude to all involved parties who contributed to this successful endeavor. We look forward to the opportunity to collaborate again in the future and to continue building-upon our strong partnership.
Dear David; I thought I should take a few moments to express and share with you and whoever you may feel may benefit from learning about my experience in using your services. I initiated contact with David Plange from Alpha2Bravo ferry services back in March 2017. I was in the final stages of closing on a single engine experimental aircraft in the Netherlands and would need ferry services to Calgary Canada. Being involved both directly and indirectlyin aviation for the past 30 years, I have learned a fair bit about what not to do or what to look for, heard about very bad experiences and last but not least, got the benefit (not really) of watching Hollywood created scenarios relating to the ferrying of aircraft. Needless to say I was sceptical of most of the people I spoke to in the business. As I warmed up with some, I learned that either they couldnt pilot an EASA registered aircraft or wouldnt ferry an experimental aircraft. Once I talked to David Plange and gave him the details, he took 2 days to get back to me with an affirmative response and a fair quote. Few weeks passed and we closed the deal and waited for a propeller overhaul. D Day came and Daves assisgned pilot was right on schedule. From the minute Joe picked up the aircraft, I was kept completely in the loop at every juncture and also provided with a tracking link via Spot Tracker. During the whole flight, David and Joe made decisions based on safety and had to use alternates that not only increased the ferry time, but also his expenses in fuel. Overall the experience was a positive one and we received the aircraft in Calgary in good condition. I would not hesitate to use them again regardless whether it would be for a Lancair or a Citation. Regards Frank Faria
“Alpha2Bravo has three times, ferried single engine planes on our behalf from the United States to Africa in furtherance of our mission, which is to protect Virunga National Park, the continent’s oldest, most biologically diverse protected area. On each occasion, Alpha2Bravo has done an outstanding job ensuring the planes arrived safely and on time to their destinations. I do not hesitate to recommend Alpha2Bravo to anyone requiring a safe, reliable, communicative and seasoned ferry outfit.” Sincerely, J. Kim Chaix Director Virunga Fund Inc. Brooklyn, NY USA
It was the second time that we engaged Alpha2Bravo for a ferry flight across the pond. We highly appreciated the perfect reliable service with fast processing, the thorough provision of required documents, in flight services with briefings and updates, and continuous supervision. With good weather conditions and an experienced pilot it took just 2.5 days from Boston MA to Basel Switzerland. For us it was good to know our stationer in safe hands.
Hi David, Just have to say how helpful Adrian was . He kept me informed and was on the return leg , very flexible and helpful in getting the aircraft back as there where a few issues with the aircraft when he was getting it ready to fly back . I wouldn’t hesitate in recommending you to anybody and if I need an aircraft ferry again , you will be the first port of call . Ill get your invoiced payed tomorrow. Thanks again, Rob
Alpha2Bravo have just completed the delivery of 2 new company aircraft to the UK from the US. The service that we were provided with was outstanding particularly given the short notice, when our previous ferry company failed to deliver. The pilots that they provided were experienced and extremely efficient reducing the cost of our ferry by 25% and delivered the aircraft in half the time. The service was thorough including a UK based Ops centre that manged their flights throughout and kept us up to date. I am delighted to recommend A2B.’ – 2 Excel Aviation Ltd
David recently arranged for our PA28 to be delivered from New York to London. From the very first conversation to receiving our plane in Elstree we could not have been better looked after. Faultless service, which would be impossible to improve on. Thank you. Christopher Sharp
To whom it may concern Ferry Flight: C182T from Independence, USA to Wycombe Air Park, UK; November 2015 In June 2015 I finally “bit the bullet” and placed an order with Cessna to purchase a brand new C 182T. Some four months later, at the end of October, I travelled to Independence, Kansas to take delivery of my new aeroplane and to undertake a two day conversion course with the Cessna flight school. I then entrusted my aeroplane to Alpha2Bravo for the long ferry flight to its new home at Wycombe Air Park near London. Although I have owned a number of used planes, this was my first experience of importing a new plane from the US. A key consideration for me was to find a professional and trustworthy ferry pilot. On the recommendation of Cessna’s UK sales agent, I made contact with David Plange of Alpha2Bravo. David is a highly experienced pilot with many thousands of hours and over 70 oceanic crossings. David was unable to undertake the trip himself due to other flying commitments. He brought on board one of A2B’s network of pilots who has an equally impressive CV with 7,605 total hours, 2,517 on SEPs, many of them on C182s, and some challenging SEP ferry flights to his credit. I was able to get a positive impression of the pilot from the flying videos which he files on line. I had two main concerns regarding the ferry flight. The first was the safety aspects of undertaking this journey in November with the onset of winter weather and the second was that my ferry pilot should treat my new plane like his own – as he would be flying it for much of the first key 50 hours break-in-time on my new Lycoming engine. On both counts, I could not have been more impressed. Although the final decision to undertake each leg obviously rested with the ferry pilot, I knew that two highly experienced pilots were assessing the weather conditions particularly on the longer over-water legs between Canada, Greenland, Iceland and Scotland. The preparation for the flight was meticulous and highly professional. I was kept informed of decisions real time, including being shown the detailed weather forecasts on which decisions, including to delay in Iceland, were made. The company set up a flight tracking system which allowed me to follow each flight real time including over the North Atlantic. David would make sure I knew the aircraft had arrived safely at the end of each leg. It also became very clear to me that I could not have asked for a more experienced pilot to deliver my aeroplane when he flew two consecutive 5 hour legs from Goose Bay via Narsarsuaq to Keflavik, arriving safely at close to midnight in a 35 knot wind. The ferry pilots experience in Cessnas and with the Lycoming engine was also very evident. He knew exactly what was required to run-in the engine, deliberately remaining low during the early stages of the flight in accordance with Cessna’s operating handbook. He recorded power settings, EGTs and CHTs on each cylinder at regular intervals during each leg. After the ferry flight, David sent me a record of the trip including the detailed flight log of each leg. I have also been provided with an incredibly helpful set of operating notes for the aircraft/engine based on his extensive experience and on his observations during the ferry flight. So, although I did not have the time and experience (nor if I am honest, the courage) to undertake this 4350 nm/32 hour journey across the North Atlantic, I have a fantastic record of the trip and the comforting knowledge that my new aeroplane has been looked after in the first stages of its life much better than if I had done the trip myself. Lastly, there is a significant amount of paperwork, including specific insurance requirements, involved in the export/import of an aircraft from the US to the UK. Alpha2Bravo understood exactly what was required and responded rapidly and efficiently to my questions and those of the other parties involved (Cessna, Import and Trust Agents). This ensured a smooth export of the aircraft at Bangor and a rapid processing by UK Customs at Prestwick. The Alpha2Bravo team of David Plange are a highly experienced team who provided a very professional and efficient service, delivering my new plane safely over 4,350 nm in challenging weather conditions. I have no hesitation in recommending them to anyone requiring the services of a ferry pilot.
I purchased a really nice C182Q in Florida and had it brought into the 21st century with both glass cockpit avionics and a fresh repaint. I was delighted with the look of the aircraft but I needed to get it back to Italy. After doing a lot of research, I finally decided on Alpha2Bravo as they were highly recommended and after making contact with David Plange, I could see why this was the case. Even when I would call with a list of questions regarding routing, export/import procedures etc., every question was answered with fluidity and in depth knowledge. I had read some bed reviews about other companies taking money and not turning up so initially I wanted to use an escrow for payment. Dave had no issue at all with this and even suggested he would invoice me after delivery. I am told that this is very rare in this industry and if I didn’t feel at ease before, I certainly did after that. I was provided with an in depth itinerary and crew details and the pilot turned up in Fort Myers on schedule. There were a couple of last minute teething problems which caused a slight delay but once the ferry began, I was kept up to date every step of the way. I was also provided with a tracking link so I knew where the aircraft was at every second which proved to be really interesting for me to follow the flight. To cut short, what could be a very long essay, I can only hold Dave and his team at Alpha2Bravo in the highest regards and if anyone needs an ultra-professional ferry company, there is no need to look elsewhere. We recently employed the services of Alpha2Bravo to ferry a Jetstream 32 from New Zealand to the Dominican Republic. The professionalism and clear communication through the whole process was outstanding. Alpha2Bravo’s crew had a very ‘can do’ attitude which included putting their overalls on and assisting the engineers to get the aircraft ready for departure. Their attitude was VERY refreshing. I would have no hesitation in recommending Dave and the team at Alpha for your next ferry flight.
This is the first time I write a testimonial about anything. We recently purchased a Jetstream 32 from an operator in New Zealand. The Seller chose Alpha2Bravo to ferry the aircraft ALL THE WAY to Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. Dave and his team made my staff feel as we were flying with the aircraft with all the updates and input about it. The crew did an AMAZING job in ferrying this aircraft in superb conditions half around the world!! Thanks again Dave for everything and please extend my gratitude to the crew! Alpha2BRavo rocks!!!
Alpha2Bravo did a great job delivering our Cessna Skymaster from the US to the Netherlands. With almost no delay they flew the aircraft across the Atlantic on three days. Very smooth process altogether. Frequent updated and live GPS tracking gave us owners an insight into the process. Certainly recommend them and hope to use them again in the future! Hope you Gerald and the business are all ok.
While searching for a ferry pilot to to fly my newly purchased Seneca V back from Europe to North America, I cam across a few options. After reviewing them in detail, including getting a quote from an internet search to uncover non-disclosed history (pprune and a few others were great) i settled on Alpha2Bravo and was not disappointed. From the moment I first started exchanging emails with David to meeting him in Gratz to when i dropped him off at the airport after delivering the airplane he was always very professional and very meticulous in all his dealings. Even when stranded in the UK for some repairs he gracefully put me up at his place for a few days. I would highly recommend David as a ferry pilot and would not hesitate to use his services again if the need arise
Dear Captain Dave Plange. Thank you very much for successfully completing a ‘Ferry Flight’ delivery for our clients 2013 Piper Meridan Turbo Prop aircraft, from Kula Lumpur, Malaysia and landing smoothly in Fort Lauderdale FL USA. Not only was it a ‘seamless delivery’ with no problems but it was completed in 6 days. As a broker, handling many different types of international aircraft transactions and also handling aircraft deliveries, we are only as good as the pilots that help us ensure that our ‘Ferry Flights’ and ‘Closings’ go as scheduled and safely. After getting to know you a little more, you are not only a great person to work with, but also know that you can be assured that we will be calling on your team in the near future! Once again, thank you for helping to make us look good and for acting is such a professional organised manner. My best to you.
As a company, we recently purchased a Phenom 300 aircraft registration M-VAKE to add to our fleet We were passed the details of Alpha2Bravo by a third party associate with a view to carrying our the repositioning of the aircraft from the factory in Brazil to our location in Almaty. From the outset, it was easy to see why this company had been recommend. The main person we dealt with was David Plange and his attention to detail left nothing to chance. There was actually a delay en route which required maintenance by the manufacturer and this meant that there was a quiet an amount of additional work to undertake from a planning point of view. This was handled in an extremeley professional manner and as such I would happily recommend the services of David Plange and Alpha2Bravo to anyone requiring such services. The were a pleasure to work with and and I look forward to our next opportunity to work on the same platform.
In one month I flew from Teuge to Tampa and vice versa with David Plange of Alpha2Bravo after he was recommended by a business colleague. With almost no IFR experience despite having just attained my JAA ATPL (frozen) I embarked upon this long and impressive flight and it soon became clear to me that you need a lot of skills and experience to successfully ferry an aircraft across the north Atlantic. Besides this a cast iron discipline and airmanship is also required. It was nice to see that David united all of these qualities. During the two ferries I have learned a lot of David experience because he is also a very capable instructor. It is also nice that he visit the famous fields such as Wick, Keflavik, Goose Bay, Bangor etc. All in all a unique experience and I would recommend to every pilot to do this with David Plange. Not only is he an accomplished pilot with exacting standards. He is also a genuinely nice guy.
This summer, my company contacted David Plange of Alpha2Bravo aircraft delivery services to assist with delivering our KingAir 350 from Arizona to Kinshasa. From the moment I received a response I knew i was in good hands from the knowledgeable and enthusiastic responses to my questions. David assisted with the export of the aircraft and made this transition pain free. This was an area where I really hadn’t envisaged would be so demanding but his knowledge of the customs procedures made light work of the process. Upon meeting, it was clear to see that my suspicions were well founded as his preparation ahead of time was exemplary with trip kits and alternates planned for the full route. He was intent on making sure that I enjoyed every minute of this journey without having to worry about any operational issues. His knowledge of the US infrastructure and that required for the North Atlantic outposts and then transitioning into Europe and Africa was first class and as a bonus, he was also easy to along with. When spending a lot of time in close proximity to someone who you are meeting for the first time, this really is an added bonus. We had a couple of issues which caused a slight delay which was completely out of Davids control but these were handled with complete professionalism and it gives me great pleasure to be able to recommend David Plange and Alpha2Bravo to anyone thinking of moving an aircrafy.
Romain and I are the happy owners of N1149G, a beautiful Mooney 231 with Rocket conversion. Dave was selling this aircraft and we had the chance of viewing the ferry flight on his website. Since the first contact with Dave we have been impressed with the quality of all the information he gave us. After few reply, Dave accepted to fly to our home base (we live in France) for a pre-purchase inspection, just for the cost of gas. It was four hours total flight form UK. Dave arrived sharp on time and we have discovered a very nice person, answering all our questions and passioned with his business and airplanes in general, just as we are. We spend a very nice day with him. The plane has almost no defaults and concerning the few ones, Dave accepted immediately to correct it or to replace it at no extra charges. Two weeks late Dave comes back again for delivering the aircraft. We strongly recommend Dave’s professionalism. It was our first airplane and Dave contributes grandly to our decision to buy the aircraft. Thanks again Dave and you will be always welcome in Rennes.
To whom it may concern, in May 2010 I contacted David Plange regarding a Mooney he had advertised with a view to purchase David responded quickly to my initial telephone enquiry, and continued to furnish requested information in a timely manner; using an assistant at times when he was not available. On arriving with an engineer to complete both a flight test and pre-purchase inspection, I was pleased to find the aircraft as advertised with only a few extra hours having been flown and was presented clean and tidy as one would expect when one views an aircraft on the market. David and his assistant helped with booking accomodation and made himself available for the two days requested. The PPI revealed a few items that warranted attention and David agreed a remediation plan and accepted the costs of those as part of the agreement, following which he delivered the aircraft in a small short notice short window in far from perfect conditions. The subsequent paperwork shuffle was completed after a couple of mistakes by both parties, but David worked hard to ensure that the delays were kept to a minimum and that all necessary items were dispatched. Following the completion of the defects, annual inspection, and my own upgrades, the aircraft has continued in service for just over a year now and continues to perform as tested and inspected. David was a pleasure to work and deal with, and I would have no hesitation in returning to him should I have the need, and likewise in recommending him to others.
Dear David, as you know of course, Paul arrived last night, and the aircraft is fantastic. Paul kindly gave me a brief on the aircraft this morning, and everything looks pretty good. Many thanks for the excellent service. Will stay in touch and certainly, I recommend you to anyone who happens to need an aircraft ferried over. Many thanks again.
During May/June 2010, David Plange ferried my experimental aircraft from America to Germany. I accompanied him on the first leg from Florida to Bangor.Maine and was impressed with his piloting skills and his in depth knowledge of the US airway system. Once in Bangor, his contacts with the FBO, US Customs and Canadian authorities made the export seamless. After he took my airplane solo, he wasted little time through superhuman effort to make it from Goose Bay to Iceland without delaying in Greenland. When mechanical problems occurred in Iceland and Wick, David dealt with these in a timely manner and delivered the aircraft on time and in budget. What sets him apart is his extreme professionalism, resourcefulness, a dogged determination and his ability to solve the inevitable problems that accompany long ferry flights. The level of service provided was extraordinarily high and was completed for a competitive price. I would recommend David wholeheartedly for those who need to know that the ferrying of their aircraft will be done in time, on budget and with the minimum of problems. To quote a famous Scotsman, “there are some that can and there are some that cannot.” David is a “can do” ferry pilot.
Dear David, Ferry trip Troyes to Seattle I would just like to say a very sincere thanks for all your help with the transfer of the Mooney Acclaim last week. It was a pleasure working with you as nothing seems to be to much bother and I also very much appreciate your guidance with the customs requirements. I would be more than happy to recommend you to any other aviation enthusiasts that I hear of that require a similar service and would be delighted to work with you again if the needs arises. Once again, many thanks for everything David.
Geosan LLC has again used Alpha2Bravo’s excellent and reliable services to have our C2O8B G1000 caravan return ferried from Winningen to Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia which Alpha2Bravo ferried to Germany for us in September 2010. Again David Apatu Plange director of Alpha2Bravo conducted the ferry with impeccable airmanship and professionalism. Geosan LLC recommends Alpha2Bravo’s services ferrying aircraft around the world.
To any potential customer of Alpha2Bravo aircraft delivery services. I found the perfectly equipped, meticulously maintained plane! Only, it was in London, and I needed it in America! So I engaged David Plange, of Alpha2Bravo, to ferry my Cessna Turbo 210 across the Atlantic. I contracted with him to ferry the plane over the northen route without using ferry tanks, making the usual stops in Scotalnd, Iceland, Greenland, Canada, and Bangor, Maine USA. Doing this for the first time, I did not realise how fortunate I was to have chosen David. David has a generous nature, a friendly personality, and a diligent work ethic. He is also a very capable pilot! And I was fortunate enough to be the beneficiary of all these qualities while David was on my assignment. My first hint was David asking permission to take a ferry pilot from Reykjavik to Kulusuk, in Greenland. He was generously doing a fellow ferry pilot a favour, even though it took him out of his way and cost him four hours extra flying. (he did not bill me for the extra fuel!). Subsequently we discovered that he would have had to take this longer route anyway since winds did not permit the shorter Iceland – NUUK – Canada. On departing from Kangerluusuaq, about 140 NM out to see at FL180 the aircraft developed an engine problem and David had to use his piloting skills to nurse her back to Kangerluusuaq. Normally, there are no piston engine mechanics available in Greenland. Here is were Davids diligence, work ethic and personality really shone! Firstly, he was able to diagnose the problem using the few available tools. The he was able to recruit a local mechanic, who he had befriended, to help diagnose and attempt repair. I paid kings ransom to locate and ship an ignition harness to Greenland ( the freight cost was in $ thousands, and still took 5 days !) When the parts got there, David again recruited his mechanic friend to help affect repair. The net effect was a 6 day layover while the plane awaited repair! This should have been a very expensive exercise. However, due to Davids resourcefulness, I got away with only paying about 25% of the expense that could have been incurred under these circumstances, and with minimal delay, given the circumstances and remote location. Additionally, David funded the expenses out of pocket, and reimbursed on delivery – the norm in the ferry business is payment first !! When the aircraft was eventually repaired, David then flew 1600 miles in one day and delivered the plane the following morning. Then, without a days rest, he took an evening flight back to England to make the schedule for his next delivery. I can recommend Alpha2Bravo and David Plange with no reservations. David shall be the best possible caretaker for your prized airplane, and shall deliver it as best possible anywhere that you want! Once you meet David, I Know you will understand.
I’d like to thank you for your outstanding service. Ferrying my turbo Skylane to US in just two days was a real adventure. It was not just perfectly safe and handled to very high standards but also fun and pleasure to meet with you and fly with you. I learned a lot and thanks for taking care of sharing your unique knowledge with me; I dont know how much such a training should cost in flight safety ? in our case it was included in service price. I wish to have another ferrying affair with you and wish you safe crossings and new clients. See you soon
I needed to ferry my Piper Malibu Mirage over the atlantic, from Italy to Miami. I met him in Doncaster and from there we flew to Miami in just tree days !! We made long and safety flights thank of you.. You were awesome about everything. You took care about the route, the flight plans, the handling and, on my opinion, you were extremely professional !!! also you were really kind and friendly. I would like to thank you for your job, and for your teachings you gave me. I learned a lot in those days.. I hope, next time you will be in Miami, we must meet and have a wonderful dinner as promise.. Hope see you soon, and thank you so much for everything… You made my dream come true. Fabio
I needed to get a recently-purchased Beechcraft Duke from Germany to the USA. As an experienced pilot, I considered ferrying the airplane myself via the North Atlantic route. However, I was intimidated by the number of small details – flying a small aircraft in Europe, customs & immigration rules and regulations, flight planning, international filing, import/export paperwork, handling services and fueling – not to mention insurance requirements. After contacting several ferry services, I chose Dave at Alpha2Bravo. He promptly returned my e-mails and his quote was reasonable. It turned out to be a good decision; and I narrowly avoided serious and expensive pitfalls with certain other less-reputable ferry pilots, I learned later. I accompanied Dave and the entire experience could not have been any smoother. His experience along the route and relationships with handlers, agents and officials made the flight look easy. We had no hang-ups and no snags; it was all completely seamless. Additionally, Dave was budget conscious and saved my money along the way, whenever possible. Furthermore, he was pleasant to be around and a true professional. I highly recommend him! Captain Jay Johnson Boeing 737NG, Xiamen Airlines Xiamen, China
